I am responsible for full stack development of the data visualization dashboards using React, TypeScript, Node, Express, and MongoDB.

As a member of the Orientation Board, I work with four other Board members as well as Professional Staff to plan and execute Cal Poly's Orientation Series. The Orientation Series is comprised of Student Life Orientation Days in the summer and the Week of Welcome in the fall. Responsibilities of this role are as follows:Recruitment -Screen and select prospective applicants for our 60 person Orientation Team that supports the Board in planning and executing the Orientation Series-Collaborate with Professional Staff to hire Summer Orientation Leaders Facilitator Training-Train Orientation Team members to prepare our 900 student leaders for summer and fall Orientation-Topics covered include facilitating discussion, leadership strategies, active listening, and dedication to program valuesCo-Chair of Events, Resources, and Logistics Committee:-Oversee a committee that is responsible for creating events during SLO Days and WOW-Organize outreach to campus resources and educate Orientation Leaders as well as new students about these resources-Coordinate community service opportunities for Orientation programming throughout San Luis Obispo county-Work with Cal Poly Clubs and Organizations to foster student involvement on campus

Student Life Orientation Days (SLO Days) is Cal Poly's two day summer orientation program that provides incoming students with the resource knowledge that will enable them to be successful in all aspects of their lives. Members of the SLO Days staff learn to work as a team, communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service as we represent Cal Poly. As a member of the SLO Days staff, I served in the following capacities:- Student Guide- Parent & Supporter Guide- Presenter- Facilities

Orientation Team is a group of over 60 individuals that collaborate to train future orientation leaders, plan and create presentations, and activities for incoming students.As a member of the Connections committee, I was tasked with planning and executing multiple events during our training as well as our Week of Welcome. These events included:- A group bonding and development event attended by 5,000 incoming students- An afternoon training event for 800 student leaders- Bowling for our summer orientation sessions- Various Cal Poly club sponsored eventsI was also a Facilitator, which means that throughout Spring Quarter, I trained potential Week of Welcome leaders in a small group of about 15 students. It was an evaluative process in which I gave constructive feedback, facilitated discussion, and served as a resource for my group of leaders in training.

My role on Open House was being one of two leads for the Events and Operations subcommittee. That role required me to oversee five committee members and their respective events. This involved one-on-one meetings, providing advice on action items, holding committee members to deadlines, and overall offering support in their endeavors. I was also in charge of facilities for the weekend. This included communicating with vendors to rent equipment, overseeing the movement of equipment during the weekend, and finally tracking the equipment so none would be lost. As a result of all these duties I learned how to supervise a committee, promote growth and success in people, run facilities for an event, and finally how to successfully work with a co-lead.
