Dylan worked as a drainage engineer on transport infrastructure major projects. As an intrapreneur, he championed design thinking and co-design for innovation.

As a graduate Dylan undertook drainage design and hydraulic modelling in 12d, DRAINS and GIS packages for various WA clients. He worked on the Forrestfield Airport Link project and several other transport projects as a drainage engineer. He was also actively involved in the HSE Site Work and Young Professionals committees.

A 10-week ideation program for young professionals run by GHD. Our team researched the enabling of Autonomous Vehicles in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Superintendent Water Infrastructure, Dylan assisted the Water team (Operations, Engineering Services) with the delivery of water projects at Roy Hill. As a 2015-2016 summer intern he helped to develop the Roy Hill Young Professionals Group which was launched in May 2016.

Dylan completed an international graduate internship for Ames; a mid-tier heavy civil construction company based out of Minneapolis. After completing a 3-month internship Dylan undertook a geophysical study for BHP Billiton. His time at GHD culminated in 15 days of survey at Jimblebar completing ERI and NMR survey with the prinicipal geophysicist. As a vacation student he gained experience in drainage design and hydrological modelling on the PPP (Public Private Partnership) schools project and other smaller projects.

Dylan worked across the City of Canning's leisure facilities (Cannington and Riverton) as a sports coach/umpire and centre assistant. He was involved in staff training and leadership activities and developing and running his own lessons for junior soccer coaching.

Dylan worked closely with the managing director on new installations and electrical maintenance projects. He was employed on a casual basis and worked primarily during winter and summer vacation.
