Dylan Levene is a Head of Product at Estately by FreeWill. They possess expertise in data analysis, project management, product development, start ups, training and 29 more skills. Colleagues describe them as "I had the honor of working with Dylan over her years at Lifion and am so blown away by the product skillset, client empathy, and sheer brilliance/creativity she brings to the table. She has the ability to take a product from idea/market potential to launch and adoption. And on top of it all, I watched here improve our processes, strategy, and team culture. She is a fantastic people leader and earned the admiration of her direct reports. Any product that needs a thoughtful, creative, experienced product leader would be lucky to have her! I can’t wait to get the opportunity to work with her again." and "I had the pleasure and privilege of working in the same cohort as Dylan for 7 months at Fullstack Academy. We worked on an e-commerce project together as well as multiple project based workshops. Coming from a technical consulting background, I've worked with many product managers and Dylan definitely takes the seat at the top. A meticulous, efficient, reliable, and accountable teammate, Dylan proved to be the clear leader of the group and directed us to success. From creating a robust/agile product plan to getting into the weeds of any technical issue, Dylan conveyed her technical and management expertise. She spearheaded the complex database design and authentication for our e-commerce product and continued providing value anywhere she could. Had we worked on a longer term project, I could see her being a great mentor and coach. Dylan is the ideal product manager and I would love to get the chance to work with her again!"

Coordinator Of Community Planning & ServicesLong Island Coalition For The Homeless Aug 2013 - Aug 2014Amityville, New York, UsLICH coordinates the Continuum of Care (CoC), a body of 60+ non-profit and government agencies providing housing services on Long Island. LICH leads the region's grant application to HUD, resulting in over $10M in funding each year. I implemented a Data Quality Improvement Plan across the region, increasing data quality by 50% over 1 year. The Data Quality Plan is still in use today.Data quality is measured in segments of data deemed 'usable' for the AHAR (Annual Homeless Assessment Report), a report that HUD submits to Congress. A region's data quality is considered when HUD awards competitive funding, so better data quality can directly translate to increased grant dollars awarded to a community. -
Homeless Management Information System (Hmis) LiaisonLong Island Coalition For The Homeless Mar 2013 - Aug 2013Amityville, New York, UsA Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is a local information technology system used to collect client-level data and data on the provision of housing and services to homeless individuals and families and persons at risk of homelessness. I was tasked with maintaining our active presence in the hunger relief community. - Researched current nutrition/anti-hunger legislation, policies, and programs at all levels of government; represented LI Cares at legislative and policy coalition meetings- Mobilized LI Cares' audience in policy advocacy via social media and action alerts- Developed advocacy correspondence to legislative officials (letters, press releases, memoranda) -
FellowHamilton Food Pantry Jun 2012 - Sep 2012Selected for summer fellowship through Colgate's Upstate Institute, a program that pairs students with organizations in the community to design and implement impactful projects. My interest in food policy and sustainable food led me to choose the local Food Pantry as my placement. The pantry wanted to leverage my skills to learn how they could improve their services and better cater to their patrons' needs. They found patrons were reluctant to offer any feedback but gratitude due to the nature of the service.I designed a research study, developed a quantitative survey, and interviewed patrons to build recommendations for the pantry. The Institute provided me with 1-on-1 training from a data scientist on survey design methodology, interview best practices, and transcribing, coding, and performing qualitative analysis with software programs (MAXQDA).This training has proved invaluable in my career as a Product Manager. As a PM it's critical to detect and remove your own bias when interviewing users. I'm able to quickly spot and revise leading, biased, and Yes/No questions, and I know how to prompt interviewees to get the most out of an interview (e.g. "Tell me more about that...").
