I wanted to be an engineer from a young age. Primarily because my dad is an engineer and people seemed to respect that about him. I took a liking to mathematics, science, and most of all problem solving. The combination of these interests seemed to fall in line with the skillset of an engineer. It felt like a good option at the time and still does to this day. I feel like I manage to strike the balance between the hard facts that come with engineering and the soft care that comes with collaborating with teammates. That may not make me super unique in this industry, but I find that it's an ever present battle that is necessary to get work done and done well.
