Community Engagement Coordinator
CurrentProvide technical assistance and manage grants in support of community and volunteer engagement in refugee resettlement.Responsibilities:• Administer POWIR grant, including setting program priorities, developing RFP and leading selection committee, monitoring subgrantee progress, providing technical assistance, and reporting to funder• Plan and execute cross-grant technical assistance strategy for greatest impact on affiliates’ community and volunteer engagement efforts, including needs assessment, planning and prioritization, and resource identification and development• Represent USCCB in coalition meetings such as RCUSA’s Community Sponsorship, Anti-Racism, and Communications Working Groups• Manage Refugee Resettlement Emergency Relief Fund to ensure equitable disbursal throughout affiliate network• Develop external partnerships to connect affiliates with tools for volunteer recruitment and other essential program activitiesAchievements:• Developed and delivered thorough, concise, and engaging “Volunteer 101” orientation for new local directors to equip them to effectively engage volunteers• Managed impacts of a major funder’s transition in grantmaking processes and priorities, including: coordinated USCCB's response; ensured continuity of positive working relationships between USCCB, affiliate network, and funder’s national and local offices; wrote proposals to new funders on short notice to ensure program continuity• Liaised with contacts at local offices to meet a federal funder's request for rapid feedback, making USCCB the only national agency to provide a response.
