As a founding member of ParcelPal, I was able to take the company from an idea in 2016 to a publicly traded company trading on the CSE with $10mm in revenue and over 50 employees through 3 cities in 2020. Like many in the start-up world I had the opportunity to wear many hats, including sales, operations, marketing and product design and development.Launching ParcelPal has given me an in-depth understanding of how to effectively ship products consumers will love. I had the opportunity to learn inside and out, the process of grooming product backlogs and sprint planning while ensuring clear and concise communication with an amazing remote team of developers.As Head of Product & Marketing I owned the entire product lifecycle; lead the strategy, prioritization, and execution for key product features to drive user engagement & satisfaction. In addition to owning the product lifecycle I was responsible for defining the brand strategy, and ensuring the brand is consistent across all internal and external touchpoints and developing comprehensive marketing strategies that span the full marketing stack.

As a freelance Digital Marketing Strategist I work with a variety of clients, each with specific needs. My goal is to learn everything about a company; it’s target markets and the desired outcomes to develop a strategy that is uniquely theirs. Doing this allows me to focus on the customers that count.

In my role as a Digital Marketing Coordinator at Distrix I created engaging and informative content for all social media channels. I tracked and reported on the efficacy of the social media strategy to ensure all communication was optimized. Additionally, I managed email marketing, search engine marketing and display advertising initiatives. Email campaigns were launched using MailChimp and integrated into our CRM system. I also helped with the launch of a new website during the company's rebranding. This included rewriting web copy to create a more user friendly experience and creating new web pages where needed.

As an Area Manager for Precise ParkLink I oversaw the day-to-day parking operations of over 15 accounts, and supported the Operations Manager with larger accounts. Monthly financial reports were analyzed to determine the current state of operations and opportunities for growth. All new clients were given daily onsite support during the start-up phase, this allowed me to complete the project on time and within budget.

As a Supervisor with Nesters Market, I helped design and implement visual merchandising concepts to increase store traffic and sales volume. I also coordinated tie-in promotions with various vendors, using their products in customer contests. By understanding our store positioning I ensured all new products improved our merchandising mix. Through the use of POS displays, advertising campaigns and in-house promotions we were able to increase sales for 3 consecutive years.I also oversaw all departments within the store to ensure the day to day operations remained effective and efficient, trained and coached new sales staff; doing this while promoting a team first environment. I took it upon myself to act as a liaison between staff and upper management to ensure proper communication, allowing staff and management to work together to exceed our customer’s expectations.

In my role as a Marketing Assistant for Camber College I helped design and execute a social media marketing plan created to increase brand awareness. We implemented the use of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to improve customer engagement. Additionally, I setup all marketing events and worked with graphic designers to ensure the marketing materials were consistent with our marketing strategy. Using Adobe Creative Suite, I created internal marketing materials which included, newsletters, posters and letterheads.
