-Evaluated a complex carbonate formation for hydrocarbon and CO2 flood potential in a newly acquired field in the Wind River Basin – project presented in-person to company/executives.-Created structure, isopach, and petrophysical (porosity, hydrocarbon saturation, hydrocarbon pore volume (HCPV), and gas initially in-place (GIIP)) maps for 4 primary target intervals.-$1.7 billion potential gross value added: identified and proposed 20 conventional and 10 horizontal well locations and calculated reserve estimates.

-Conducted basin evolution analysis using PetroMod: created 1-D burial model, vitrinitereflectance model, and petroleum system elements chart for the SW Cooper Basin, Australia.-Performed well log analysis (Archie equation and Passey’s TOC estimation) and net paymapping using Petra and Petrel for the proposed target interval: Patchawarra Formation.-Identified 84.4 BCF of recoverable gas in place: assisted with seismic interpretation and attribute analysis: prospect well locations, volumetrics, and risk analysis.

-Use of stable isotopes of hydrogen and oxygen from precipitation to trace hydrologic cycles.-Formulated a Local Meteoric Water Line (LMWL), which was used to analyze the hydrologic variation in the Stillwater, OK area compared to the Global Meteoric Water Line (GMWL).-Goals of research: Determine the degree of evaporation of source moisture, along with where the moisture originated, and to give a hydrologic story that will help aid future research.

-Assisted in core interpretation of fractures through the Meramec, Osage, and Woodford.-Differentiated between natural and induced fractures as a quality assurance measure by identifying the presence of mineralization or drilling mud, respectively.-Identified fracture attributes such as mineralization, dip, and propagation/termination habits.-Generated a fracture density curve that was used as a “ground truthing” mechanism for fractures detected on image logs, petrophysical analyses, seismic attributes, and seismic generated discrete fracture networks (DFNs).
