I graduated with honors from New York University where I majored in Social & Cultural Analysis and minored in History. During my time at NYU I was selected to be a part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars Program where a group of other underrepresented students and I completed research projects, presented to NYU peers and New York City high schoolers, and took trips to Washington D.C. and Madrid to refine our understanding of social justice and pursue the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I was later selected to join the Presidential Internship Program where I worked closely with NYU administrators to learn the ins and outs of higher education administration. Working primarily in NYU's Opportunity Programs and the Office of Student Success, I completed research projects, designed student support initiatives, reviewed existing NYU programs and language, and presented to administrators on recommendations related to equity and accessibility, student retention, increasing graduation rates, and improving the success of underrepresented students. I am deeply passionate about equity and using education as a tool to make the world a better place.
