CurrentWhen I joined Evergreen Lifestyle, it had established itself as the leading retirement village brand in the country and was entering into a period of significant growth. I identified that the finance function required a turnaround in order to remain effective and relevant during a high growth period. I developed and implemented a turnaround strategy for the finance function by: - Restructuring the finance team and aligning the team members skills and experience to appropriate roles. - Focus on leading the finance team through regular communication, training and coaching.- Leveraging existing technology and introduction of new technology to eliminate manual processes and optimize the financial processes. - Implemented a business intelligence tool to allow for integrating reporting.
