At a young age I was always fascinated with machines of all types and their inner workings. If I had access to one that was broken, I always took it apart to see if I could fix it. This started unsuccessfully with small electronics. With many lessons learned I became more successful in these endeavors and the value of the machines went up. As I got older I started hearing "You should be a mechanical engineer." from my parents and other adults in my life. Before graduating high school I made it my goal!I set out to achieve that goal at Oklahoma State University. During my time in college I learned that I also enjoyed working with people both through leadership roles at a summer camp and bartending at a local brewery. That's when I decided to change my engineering goals to something that incorporated the problem solving of engineering and working with people. I ended up changing my major to Industrial Engineering & Management and later earned my Bachelors degree. Through college I gained experience in manufacturing and packaging at a Iron Monk Brewing Company and as an intern at Enovation Controls.After graduation I decided to try my hand at being a ski bum! While it was fun, it was not as fulfilling as I had hoped. I loved where I lived, but needed to find something more challenging. That's when I found Kochava! Who knew there was a tech company in small town Idaho?I started working for the SaaS company as a Client Success Manager and quickly transitioned into a more technical role as a QA Analyst and am now a Sr. QA Analyst. I love getting to learn new coding skills every day and adapting to the ever changing industry. I have started automating some of the tedious tests we often do using Python. With the continuous improvement mindset I learned in college and manufacturing, I am constantly looking for ways to improve our testing process and increase the reliability.
