I work with Dr. Jennie McLaren on the Dryland Critical Zone Project as part of the Critical Zone Collaborative Network.My work focuses on phosphorous access in plant and soil microbial communities in the Jornada Basin LTER in New Mexico. I am looking at how plants and microbes access phosphorous in a P-limited system, and how they respond to surplus P availability through a nutrient addition experiment.I also use GIS, remote sensing, and other spatial tools to uncover landscape level trends that may arise from P limitation and surplus.
