In summer 2018 I completed a three-month commercial sales summer internship program at DocuSign’s EMEA headquarters in Dublin. Aviva Stadium

As a team leader in the Aviva Stadium I worked in the food and beverage department. The Aviva stadium at full capacity can hold 51,700 and I worked to guarantee my team and I provided an exceptional service to all guests.I worked as a team leader on the bars. On event day I would be allocated a designated bar and staff members for the day. I had to attend floor meetings, delegate different positions to the staff on the bar, be responsible for cash handling with them staff members, ensure the bar was fully stocked and ensure the bar was fully cleaned before, during and after each event.

This role was a full time summer position and part time during the academic year. During my employment I worked closely with international customers as The Library Shop hosts the Book of Kells which is a popular tourist attraction. The shop would attract thousands of customers a week so I worked in a very busy environment. My duties included selling tickets, serving customers, cash handling - cashing up tills and placing the cash into the tills every morning - assisting customers and handling any customer queries. At times this role was challenging due to the language barrier with some customers. I had to be patient with customers who did not speak English and spend a lot of time with them in order to understand their query and be able to help them. I improved my customer service skills during this employment and learned how to deal with a range of different customers.
