Furthermore, training modules included application of newly learned knowledge through software like PLINK, Linux (i.e., BU Shared Computing Cluster), Berkeley Madonna, ArcMap, SAS (including SAS Methods in Clinical Trials), and RStudio (including ggplot2, tidyverse, SIR Modeling).For the final portion of SIBS, I worked in a team of four students on a research project in Statistical Genetics. The project explored Biological and Neuroimaging Biomarkers and their association to Alzheimer’s Disease Genetic Variants. During the project, we used Genome-Wide Association Analyses, Principal Component Analysis, and Polygenic Risk Score Analyses. All analyses and data cleaning used software like PLINK, SAS, and RStudio.
