I am Dylan Van Der Hock, a 22-year-old student-athlete at the University of Wyoming, majoring in Communication. My journey began in Argentina, where I discovered my passion for track and field at the age of 12. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the sport, representing the Argentinian Track Team internationally. I proudly donned my country's colors in 2016 and am honored to be a South American Champion three times, winning titles in 2017, 2018, and 2021. My most memorable experience was competing at the World Championships U20 in 2021, where I showcased my skills on a global stage.In August 2021, I embarked on a new chapter of my life by moving to the United States to continue my student-athlete career at California Baptist University. Arriving without knowing English, I immersed myself in the Intensive English Program for a year and a half, which significantly enhanced my language skills. It was during this time that I also began my major in Public Relations. In May 2024, I transferred to the University of Wyoming to further my athletic career and switched my major to Communication.As a student-athlete, I understand the importance of balancing academics and sports. I thrive in dynamic environments where I can apply my communication skills both on and off the field. I am passionate about social media and use platforms like Instagram to share my journey, connect with brands, and inspire others. Working with brands like New Balance has allowed me to blend my love for sports with my interest in marketing and communications.I believe in the power of storytelling and personal connections. One of my guiding principles is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse inspires me to overcome challenges and push my limits.
