I helped plan events in the events committee! I also have hosted a variety of technical workshops.I co-taught a Discord bot workshop, assisting students on interacting with the Discord API in both Python and JavaScript.I was also a Byte in our Bits (Mentee) and Bytes (Mentor) program.I led professional development workshops for ~14 bits and I’m spearheading an IoT Fish Tank project to expose bits to full stack web development and embedded systems in Node.js, Firebase, Express.js, React, and ESP32.I also planned a 100+ participant code-inspired scavenger hunt for a day-long club event, which had the most positive reviews out of the other events. I also led the creation of a Next.js app that served clues to contestants for the event.I hosted an intro to IoT and ESP32 workshop in collaboration with UCI IEEE, where ~35 students were taught the basics of microcontrollers, APIs, HTTP Requests, and ESP32 firmware. The students were tasked with calling an API I built to interact with a real-time chatroom I programmed with Next.js, TypeScript, Chakra UI, and Firebase Realtime Database.

Engineering Efficiency TeamThe EE team automates what can be automated and document the rest so that we can act as a force multiplier for One Medical’s engineers.My main project was to speed up the automated unit test to reduce bottlenecks in the pipeline. My work saw about a 21% decrease in the p95 time for the unit tests.I also did a few other things on the side.I tackled ~500 linting issues plaguing the ~10k file codebaseI explored the feasibility and implementation of a codebase health dashboard by integrating the Rollbar API to display error counts within the past yearI wrote the project proposal for a hackathon idea to integrate a 3rd party inventory system for vaccine stock with the company codebase, helped design the new proposed pipeline, and parsed the data from the 3rd party app into something the existing database can understand.

After interning part-time, I was considered a full member of the team for the summer before I started at UC Irvine.In addition to my internship duties:I spearheaded an effort to fully test Ansync IoT devices, mainly firmware automation testing and end-to-end integration tests. I created a Node.js program to manage all of our running tests and worked on a preliminary software architecture design for a fully automated a device farm integrated with our IoT testing framework to run end-to-end integration tests with Flutter Apps and our IoT devices on a variety of Android and iOS versions.I started refactoring this firmware automation testing framework, refactoring previously written code in accordance with SOLID Object Oriented Programming principles. I helped decide the direction in which our IoT device testing will take by presenting my refactoring designs that focused on classes that can be easily extendable to any future testing and automation effort to the Software Team Manager and other senior developers.I implemented functionality in Ansync Lab's website, converting the HTML and CSS our web designer creates into reusable components as vanilla web components in our website. I also resolved any Git mishaps that may occur on our website repository :)I guided new interns by delegating tasks, mentoring them, and helped them debug their issues while escalating and presenting difficult issues to more senior developers.I improved our CI/CD firmware workflow by automatically triggering device integration tests on specific test units on the “testing rack” to catch future firmware bugs.Lastly, I supported a preventative health client—the company’s largest client—by troubleshooting and maintaining bash scripts for device setup and Node.js scripts for quality assurance.

I helped develop an internal package receiving and parts inventory software for Ansync hosted on Firebase/Google Cloud for the spring semester. I also pioneered a TypeScript (TS) testing framework npm package for internal use for all future TS projects in an attempt to move the company to a more test-driven development process.I configured GitLab CI/CD pipelines for testing and automated semantic releases for packages and also provided support to the web development team by developing components for the company website and writing user authentication cloud functions.

I volunteered to work with Modet Collective to develop a new project of theirs: F•sync.F•sync is a retailer-brand inventory management app to help reduce wasted inventory in the clothing industry.I served as the lead backend developer for the project, developing CRUD operations in MongoDB and a password-less customer login verification system using JSON Web Tokens. I also helped the frontend team to integrate the frontend with the backend.

I was an instructor at Mathnasium. I encouraged, motivated, and engaged with students during instructional period, tutored students of all math levels from elementary school to AP Calculus, maintained student attention and re-engaged distracted students, and communicated student needs to center leadership and other instructional staff in a team-teaching environment.

Aside from organizing remote Trivia Nights, I helped implement additional professional development workshops for students and pursing projects under AIChE.I was on the planning team for the technical skills workshops in spring, where we taught our chemical engineer peers related engineering skills such as SolidWorks and Arduino. I also taught and led the SolidWorks CAD workshop by designing a basic curriculum, creating video tutorials, and holding office hours to help people design a custom plant watering pot.I contributed to the club also using my programming skills to develop Discord Bots (Question of the Day and AICHE Careers) and various utilities and websites (A Lab Reservation Website). The Careers Bot found 200+ jobs each week and sent them to AIChE members.I also consulted the club on designing an automated system to collect and save pH data using Raspberry Pis and Arduinos for a technical project.

As an undergraduate in Professor Lubin’s lab, I helped contribute to developing space technologies by proposing NASA NIACs and taking part in annual NASA challenges relating to space exploration. I looked into lunar dust mitigation for the 2020-2021 NASA Big Ideas Challenge.Our group’s research into Lunar Dust mitigation was presented at the 2021 COSPAR conference.I also ran a Git and GitHub workshop for the NASA Big Ideas Team.

I worked with Vascular BioSciences to help develop an Endoarterial Biopsy Catheter.I’ve tracked the distribution of 130 catheters and worked on updating the quality control system by writing SOPs according to FDA and ISO standards. I automated this quality control system by building an Excel spreadsheet to automatically summarize and present batch information.

I shadowed doctors in outpatient clinic and inpatient Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). I attended cardiac catheterization conferences, PICU morning rounds, echocardiography reading sessions, and pediatric grand rounds. Every week, I showed mastery of content through assessments given by my mentor, Dr. Bianca Castellanos of the Pediatric Cardiology Team.I demonstrated knowledge of basic cardiology terms, congenital heart defects, and reading echocardiograms. After my preceptorship, I presented my experience at UC Davis Medical Center to my peers, teaching them about two common congenital heart defects: Tetralogy of Fallot and Vascular Defects.The year after, I came back as an alumni of the program and talked to the next years preceptors for my mentor.
