Led waste management and landfill diversion efforts for the East Side Union High School District- Marketed SJCC+CS creative diversion successes to district through digital and in-person outreach and media creation,- Educated over 1000 students on zero waste and sustainability in their schools through classroom presentations,- Gained district support by building and maintaining relationships with school custodians, faculty, and district directors,- Pitched, launched, and supervised a semester-long four stream collection pilot initiative at a high school, which included classroom presentations, tabling and educational events around campus, and daily monitoring,- Launched SB1383 organic waste collection across district,- Led trash-pick waste audits of campuses, supervising 20+ workers and managing the sorting of materials into 29 categories,- Drafted waste audit reports for district stakeholders,- Diverted over 500 gallons of expired hand sanitizer from landfill and waterway contamination (thermal treatment),- Collected over 6,000 pounds of E-waste from district for recycling.
