About Dyllan Brown-Bramble
I am passionate about everything related to technology. From a young age, I was captivated by any gadget I could lay my hands on, from a Game Boy to my father's pager—which I admittedly broke on several occasions. This early interest has since evolved into a passion for the intersection of technology, law, and policy. I am driven to understand the behind-the-scenes workings of the technologies that shape our lives and have pursued a career that allows me to delve into this fascination.I began my legal career at a global law firm where I focused on data privacy and cybersecurity, including compliance and risk management across various industries and supporting corporate transactions. I am further building upon that foundation in my current role at FRBNY where I support the operations and compliance of the Bank as part of the Technology & Contracts function of the Enterprise Legal Services team.Beyond my primary practice, I am committed to pro bono work and thought leadership in internet and technology law and policy. My pro bono efforts are dedicated to empowering low-income entrepreneurs and small businesses. In terms of thought leadership, I contribute to articles and webinars that discuss the dynamic nature of privacy and data security and its impact on legal practice, public policy, and society at large.I earned my J.D. from Georgetown Law, where I was a Tech Law & Policy Scholar and served clients in the Intellectual Property and Information Policy Clinic. I also contributed as a research assistant at the Center on Privacy & Technology and facilitated learning as a teaching assistant. My practical experience was further enriched by internships at Morgan Stanley and SambaTV, as well as fellowships at the Internet Law & Policy Foundry, Mount Sinai Innovation Partners, and InSITE. Before law school, I obtained a degree in psychology with a minor in Computer Science from Rutgers University as a part of the Honors College. My background is a mosaic of rigorous legal training and multidisciplinary study, providing me with a holistic perspective on the challenges and opportunities at the nexus of law, technology, and policy.Let's work together for an inclusive and progressive digital future. Whether you're keen on dissecting the intricacies of tech law, seeking synergies, or simply wishing to chat about the latest developments in privacy and cybersecurity, I am always excited to engage with new people!
