• Responsible for researching, designing, and implementing new and improved manufacturing processes for painting and decorating eye wear utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, including, but not limited to: - Automated and manual spray painting and surface preparation processes - Hydrographic Water-Transfer Printing, static and continuous flow - Thin-film physical vapor deposition (vacuum metallization) - Pad Printing - Laser Marking• Design tooling and jigs using CAD software for new decorated product for use in existing manufacturing processes• Work side-by-side in multi-disciplinary teams with Designers, CAD Engineers, Product Line Managers, Quality Engineers, and Manufacturing Managers and Supply Chain Coordinators.• Work closely with vendors and contractors to develop the materials and services needed to successfully implement new product designs and decorating processes. • Utilize LEAN, Six-Sigma, EVOP and statistical analysis of DOE’s to develop, optimize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.• Manage a team of 2 Engineers and 7 Technicians in support of sustaining current processes to meet the demand of painting 20,000+ sunglasses daily. • Train technicians and operators on the methods and processes of developing new paint colors and matching existing colors.

• Formulated high-performance custom paints and coatings for the OEM automotive industry, including waterborne (1 and 2 component), as well as solvent-based lacquers, polyurethanes, and epoxies.• Developed new automotive OEM colors and matched existing OEM colors.• Chemical and mechanical testing of paints and coatings using standardized ASTM, ISO, SAE, and OEM-developed test methods.• Performed customer technical service.
