CurrentSupport a team of nearly 400 staff that develop and implement policies and programs focused on water and environmental protection. Water focused programs include the Green Infrastructure and Cloudburst Programs, rate structure and customer assistance programs, and zoning and CEQR. Environmental protection programs include smart-city technologies for air and noise monitoring and enforcement, responding to 50,000+ annual air and noise 311 complaints, and citywide building boiler certifications.Regularly coordinate with City agencies and other organizations, including the Mayor's Office, Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Department of City Planning, and City Council offices.Represent DEP and the City on the following initiatives and working groups:- Lead agency representative for the NYC Environmental Justice Interagency Workgroup as part of the NYC EJ Study and Report- Represented agency-wide interests in multiple Consolidated Edison and National Grid rate cases for the Public Service Commission - American Water Works Association's Climate Change and Sustainability Technically Advisory Workgroup- Agency lead for the UNESCO Megacity Alliance for Water and Climate
