The VP of Marine Assurance role has a three-pronged responsibility; to increase and ensure the quality of DP & Marine Assurance deliverables, train employees and set competency benchmarks to optimize performance, and to develop business strategies to further expand the line. I will also be representing the company at key industry organizations such as MTS, OCIMF, OMSA, IMCA, and IADC. This is a fast-paced position with the flexibility to continue to personally service high impact projects.

As Team Lead I was responsible for overseeing prompt and accurate delivery of DP assurance in the Americas. As the team lead for Marine Assurance at LOC Houston my primary responsibility was to ensure the highest standard of technical reporting is delivered to our clients. I supported operations from Canada down to Brazil, and represented the Americas on LOC's DP Steering Group. I was also responsible for developing the business line and have been successful in expanding the reach in Latin America by facilitating vessel re-flagging support and technical document translation.Mission Critical Systems consists of back deck equipment such as ROV's, Dive Systems, Pipe Lay installations, and Heavy Lift Cranes, to name a few. These are verified to industry standards in preparation for project works, and we would also develop system FMEA's and documentation as required.

Assessing Marine risk & providing mitigation to ensure these risks stay as low as possible. My time spent on the BP TEAP projected consisted of overseeing safe operations on three different supply / anchor handling vessels in the field.Additionally I oversaw the final FMEA closeouts onboard two of the vessels, as well as wrote the DP procedures for entering the rigs 500m zone on DP.

One trip onboard the J25, and an eventful one at that. We conducted an FPSO refit that consisted of a number of heavy lifts. As Chief Officer I was responsible for the stability and ballast plan, as well as vessel maintenance and crew oversight.I am proud of my time onboard and was fortunate to have the resources available to make a real improvement in the vessels condition.

Working onboard a variety of vessels as DPO I worked my way through the ranks from Watch Keeping Mate to Chief Officer. During this time I became experienced in a variety of DP operations including saturation & surface diving operations, coring & well intervention, ROV work & Pipe Lay ops.
