• Main duties include:
• Understand and maintain the inter connectivity of the telecom network and infrastructure.
• Apply the BT policies and instructions to provide solutions for both the Fiber and Copper network - for placement of new equipment, capturing of feature data, data updates and maintenance.
• Improving the data quality and updating the telecom network using customized ArcGIS extensions. Making sure that the data records correspond with the BT standards.
• Analyse and compare data from several databases in order to provide optimal locations for new copper cabinets resulting in improved internet speed.
• Creating maps, cable schematics and location details and producing documents (Job packs) for Planners working on field and support them with additional information.
