My current research interests focus on the development of bio sensors for fundamental research at the nanoscale, or diagnostic devices for life sciences, medicine, and biomedical research.Research Projects:Scanning Probe Force Microscopy:-High-speed AFM development of a new instrument with optical access, photo-thermal excitation, liquid cell capabilities achieving 10 frames/second on large scan sizes. -Reconstruction of topographic images using position sensor (Inpainting Algorithms, Spiral Scanning)-Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy techniques (tip radius limited lateral resolution, Lift-mode, and single-scan using higher eigenmodes)-Layer thickness dependent work function of Graphene, (DFT, Raman, Kelvin Probe)-High Bandwidth Photo-detector Readout Electronics (20MHz Bandwidth)-Feed-Forward Kelvin Probe compensation electronics (Soft and Hardware Implementations)Cantilever Based Sensing: -Inventor of encased cantilevers.
