Daryl is a digital marketing communications practitioner focused on social media content strategy, website content management, and social and website copywriting. He oversees the day-to-day operations of Dame Digital Innovations, an Iloilo City-based tech solutions and creative agency he co-founded with like-minded friends. They enable businesses to attract customers in the digital space and build a strong, empathic relationship with them through technology and creative communication.They work with clients from across industries—food and beverage, home improvement and construction, government agencies, tech startups, retail, festivals, real estate agents and teams, political entities, among others—and help them take advantage of digital platforms to connect with their ideal customers.Prior to his digital marketing practice, he worked for about a decade in journalism as an editor, writer, and special projects lead at Panay News. He had meaningful years serving as managing editor and digital editor, and supervising editor for special issues. He led the editing and optimization of content for the early version of www.panaynews.net and the early years of the news agency’s Facebook and Twitter pages. He also managed a staff of reporters and photographers who pursued big stories.His years in journalism and newsroom management enabled him to solidify his writing, editing, and leadership skills, and allowed him to transition well into digital marketing communications, where he is now helping a different kind of public—traditional entrepreneurs performing a tough and exhausting balancing act of running a business while promoting their value.
