The project goal is to migrate the existing Oracle database to CloudSQL (Postgres), decompose functional areas, and create 20 separate environments.As a Senior Database Developer, I am responsible for analyzing the needs of the customer and producing an effective database system based on customer requirements; Creating code conversion workflows and executing data migration jobs in GCP to migrate databases from Oracle Exacc DB to CloudSQL (Postgres); Ensuring seamless transition and optimal performance; Running performance and data comparison tests to ensure proper database migration and error-free functionality; Troubleshooting and correcting any issues; Writing comprehensive documentation.Mentor for a junior database developer on the customer side.

The goal of the project is to do a decomposition of functional areas and slice them into separate components, 7 independent databases (based on functional areas). The team worked on both high-level approaches and business logic extraction. This includes multiple stages: analysis, research and PoCs, algorithms optimizations, monitoring & alerting, and updating the deployment pipeline. Involved at all stages as an Oracle Database developer. Actively participate in stream planning and holding Agile ceremonies.Additional stream (active development for 2 years): Hermod messaging platform database part development. The team implemented Publisher and Subscriber DB parts of message processing, error handling functionality, monitoring and alerting. Designed and implemented solutions for messages queuing, messages execution and errors handling processes. Configured Prometheus Alerts and Grafana dashboards based on Prometheus metrics. Participated in code review. Created well-organized documentation.Additional stream: Blocking Wall. It is an extra security measurement to grant or prevent access to customer databases. The team reimplements and reconfigures a database after-logon trigger and additional configuration tables and parameters, and configures monitoring in Grafana using Prometheus and Elastic metrics.Implemented functionality for check if user allowed to login based on defined requirements (username, group membership, machine, ip etc.).
