About Débora Kirschbaum Nitkin

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist with a PhD in Mental Health obtained from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1994, and a Diploma in Advanced Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program, from the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, obtained in 2017. I have been practicing Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Lacanian Psychoanalysis since 1996, after practicing Psychodrama and Group Therapy in hospitals and community health care centres from 1992-1996, alongside with my academic career as a faculty member in a number of Universities in Brazil (UNESP, UNICAMP) and Canada (University of Toronto).
