Sustainability. Efficiency. LEGO. Interesting key concepts of the today’s construction industry and related challenges, in my opinion. But why LEGO? As a kid I was already building my own ideas: machines, cars, boats and buildings. Creating a way to transfer my ideas into representative objects to play with. If it was not possible, I found another way. If it broke down or did not satisfy, I made it stronger and rebuilt it. Playing with LEGO was like realizing ideas (and as I recently realized in a modular, re-usable and thus sustainable way). Nowadays I want to do the same, but focus more on the process of creating an efficient way to do so.After a quite diverse and explorative student life, I have finished my master Construction Management and Engineering. As I encountered struggles within the industry to implement innovations, I started developing a research topic to move away from conventional planning principles. Therefore, I digitally reconstructed the execution phase of a construction project through simulation modeling.With a critical view, technical understanding and a good package of soft skills, I believe my enthusiasm can contribute to engage construction challenges. I prefer to act in challenging and dynamic environments and really like to unite expertise to deliver maximum added value in projects.I am ready to deploy my enthusiasm & ideas and start building my career at Witteveen+Bos from September!
