OR CIRCULATOR RN-Assess patients in need of surgery for skin color and body temperature. Determine patients' respiratory status and ensure that any related issues are documented. Review conditions that may affect surgical status such as diabetes and hypertension. Make note of medication that patients have ingested prior to surgical process. Verify patients' name and other credentials and match them with surgical orders. Prepare operative suite using sterile technique. Initiate time-out procedure to assure correct patient, site, procedure. Anticipate surgeon's needs for instruments and make them available immediately. Initiate multiple accurate instrument and sponge counts.Assure safe transport of patient to post operative level of care and give accurate hand-off report to receiving nurse.PACU RN-Manage patients' admission to PACU by receiving from OR nurse. Assess patients' condition after a surgery procedure. Ensure all vitals are within normal range, and perform appropriate interventions if they are not. Manage IV access and gain new access if IV is not patent. Monitor patients' condition and report relevant changes to physician. Perform emergent interventions if patients' condition worsens. Manage blood and fluid transmissions and draw specimens. Perform wound care and bandage changes to keep surgical wound clean, dry, and intact. Develop and maintain close working relationship with anesthesia staff, surgeons, and other staff to provide professional communication.DAY/OUTPATIENT SURGERY RN-Prepare patients for surgery, full body assessment, medical history, medication reconciliation, initiate and manage IV fluids, educate patient and family about the surgical process, prepare patients for discharge, assist in procuring any necessary post-operative equipment, procure transportation if needed, educate patient and family in post-operative medication management, discontinue IV fluids.

Plans, organizes, implements, and trains staff on behavior management programs. Conducts group, individual, and family therapy sesssions. Trains and supervises interdisciplinary staff in special program procedures and methods. Serves on various facility committees; may serve as chair. Work is supervised by licensed psychologist.
