I’ve learned a lot in the 40 years I’ve been with Chemours (previously DuPont). During that time, I’ve held roles in everything from sales and marketing, to plant management in Taiwan, to my current role as the President of our Titanium Technologies business. In that time, we’ve become one of the world’s largest producers of titanium dioxide. Our Ti-Pure™ brand TiO2 is backed by an 80-year history of unparalleled improvement in the manufacturing process. One the Chemours values I identify with most is our customer centric approach. We aim to create partnerships with our customers that drive innovation while responding to their needs. For example, in laminates, we developed Ti-Pure™ grades that are resistant to sun bleaching so that flooring manufacturers can prevent lighter patches from forming on spots where their floors get more sun exposure. In paints, we’ve developed pigments that give paint manufacturers the capability to tint in-store with absolute consistency from can to can allowing them to go from offering just a few colors to offering thousands. In plastics, we’ve enabled manufacturers to make things like food packaging thinner by managing the particle size and structure of TiO2. This reduces their material and shipping costs, reducing their overall carbon footprint. I’m inspired by my colleagues every day at Chemours because we’re constantly striving to do things better than we used to, we’re responding faster than we used to, and we’re innovating together better than we used to.
