In 2020, I embarked on a transformative journey by establishing Creative Powr, a charity focused on diminishing the digital divide for other non-profit organisations. As the Founder and Chief Strategist, my role involves steering the charity towards innovative solutions and impactful strategies that empower charities, particularly in underserved communities.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Crafting and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan to guide the direction of Creative Powr. This includes identifying key digital needs in the charity sector and developing targeted solutions to address them.Digital Empowerment: Spearheading initiatives to enhance digital capabilities of charities through tailored solutions like website design, digital marketing support, and business planning.Project Management and Collaboration: Overseeing various digital projects across the UK, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), ensuring they align with our mission to uplift communities through digital innovation.Stakeholder Engagement: Building and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including experienced project managers, newly qualified university students, and charity partners, to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.Volunteer Coordination: Developing and managing a robust volunteer program to connect charities with skilled volunteers who bring valuable digital expertise.Training and Development: Conducting workshops and training sessions for charities to build their in-house digital skills, ensuring the sustainability of our interventions.Fundraising and Financial Planning: Leading fundraising efforts and financial planning to secure the resources necessary for Creative Powr’s growth and impact.Advocacy and Outreach: Championing the cause of digital literacy and capacity building in the charity sector through various platforms, including speaking engagements, articles, and social media.
