Accepted position with US Department of Homeland Security as a Reservist assisting communities with recovery efforts following natural disasters that impact life and property. Responsible for assisting survivors in obtaining appropriate services and guiding them through the application process utilizing best practices approach. Position requires deployment within 24 hours following a Presidential Declaration in response to a natural disaster within the 50 States and US possessions. Recently accepted a training appointment to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) assisting staff in addressing flood insurance related questions from survivors, policyholders and stakeholders at the regional call center in Denton, TX.
