◼︎ Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel for Latin America with a team with 100 employees and an average annual budget of USD 35 million.◼︎ Complete restructuring of the Legal area, focusing on process optimization and cost reduction.◼︎ Creation and deployment of performance indicators, including the performance of external and internal attorneys, to reduce losses resulting from litigation and to increase the quality of the defense of lawsuits filed against the Bank.◼︎ Reduction of the percentage of unfavorable judicial sentences, as well as external attorney fees, besides the increase of levels of settlements for high-risk lawsuits, savings in provisions and the satisfaction level of internal clients.◼︎ Creation of a mechanism to identify original causes of judicial lawsuits, avoiding clients and former employees from suing the Bank in civil and labor courts.◼︎ Active participation in the Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) process of the US Justice Department regarding operations in Mexico.◼︎ Drafting of new policies and internal procedures, as well as updating the existing ones.◼︎ Representation before Fiscal, Compliance, and Risk Committees and the Board of Directors.◼︎ During this period, compared to other Latam areas, the Mexico Legal area obtained the highest level of satisfaction from stakeholders.
