As a lifelong learner, education was a great first step for me. I obtained my Master's in Education Leadership in 2022 during my 6th year teaching music, but I have been wanting to switch to a computer science career for many years now. I got involved with Interclypse teaching Cyber, Programming, and Web Development classes through the UMBC Summer Enrichment Academy in 2019, and this sparked my passion and excitement for the field. I'm excited to be transitioning my career by teaching Foundations of Computer Science and Honors Java at Crofton High School for the 2023-2024 school year, as well as sponsor their Women in STEM club. Simultaneously, I am pursuing a professional certification in Data Science from DataCamp, as well as looking to expand my network and carve a path for me to become a full-fledged Data Scientist. My greatest inspiration comes from data visualizations, like the ones from Information is Beautiful, which help keep people informed in this age of misinformation. I would love to work in fields like history, social science, environmental science, and anywhere else with a strong mission to help the world.
