As a member of the Appeals Management Center: I am responsible to conducts reviews of staff authorization quality in order to establish benchmarks for consideration of individual performance standards.• Prepares documentation to support unfavorable finding in order to provide justification for error decisions and indicate required actions.• Provides feedback to relay the rationale and provide appropriate citation to support identified discrepancy.• Employs various training techniques to provide authoritative, consultant and troubleshooting.• Conducts statistical analysis of quality reviews to identify trends, significant problems areas and processes requiring improvement.• Relays quality trend information with management on an ongoing basis for use in operations, decision making and planning. •Perform quality reviews and develops local operating procedures for the team to supplement regulations and directives as needed.•Distributes and balances the workload among the employees in accordance with established work-flow and assures timely accomplishment of assigned workload.•Develops methods for monitoring members of the team on the technical aspects of the job in a manner which addresses individual learning needs.•Schedules, prepare and conducts training sessions covering topics such as review, analysis, and determination of Veterans benefits claims and applicable job techniques.•Researches, learns, and applies a wide range of qualitative and or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve effectiveness and work processes.•Provides final signature authority to rate and award, terminate, amend, or disallow benefits on unusually complex claims..Provide and implement data for one or more information management systems accurately and timely or providing technical guidance and direction to staff in the daily operation and maintenance of claims management systems.
