In addition Jeff was Senior Vice President - Corporate Development driving strategic value adding platforms and M&A. He played a key executive role between service provider and former owner, TSE management and Bain Capital.Jeff’s experience in Corporate Development and Transformation started in his 23-year career with Dow Chemical. He was part of the small team that developed the concept and drove the creation of the Americas Styrenics joint venture with Chevron Phillips Chemical, which still operates today. Also as the Director of Joint Venture Implementation with Basic Plastics at Dow he worked on a transformational strategic JV between Dow and the Kuwait Petrochemical Company (KPC). In this role he developed, negotiated, and structured contracts enabling operating models between Dow, K-Dow (the new venture) and KPC.In his career with The Dow Chemical Company, Jeff also served as a field sales representative, marketing manager and product manager in various businesses. In 2004, Jeff took over leadership of North America Polystyrene as the Polystyrene Product Director which eventually led to the strategic JV creation.

    This role has put me on the forefront of K-Dow implementation and the negotiation of Product Supply Agreements (PSA’s) between Dow and K-Dow. These agreements are essential to closing the deal, liberating the cash and enabling start up of this very large strategic JV. In this role I have actively participated in the negotiation of over 30 Product Supply Contracts directly with PIC Div of Kuwait Petrochemical Company and their advisors, learned and translated business needs of retained Dow and K-Dow businesses to the agreements and educated PIC on the details of Dow/K-Dow material flows around the world. This has been a unique cultural experience from the aspect of working directly with PIC and conducting business in London for extended periods of time April –Sept. 2008.

    I was accountable for all aspects of this business including bottom line EBIT results, market participation and the asset strategy development and implementation which led to the closure of assets such as Sarnia and to the launch of Americas Styrenics a Joint Venture between Dow and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. In this role I directed the cross functional management team and acted as the focal point for business critical aspects of key raw material supply contracts. At the time the NA PS business included approximately 1.7 b lbs of capacity at 7 sites and over $600mm of annual revenue.
