As the Student Project Supervisor, I oversaw, edited, and provided feedback on press releases, essays, printed programs, interviews, creative design, and more. I also facilitated staff meetings, assigned events, and set deadlines for event publicity, in addition to acting as a member of the programming team, brainstorming ideas for events/speakers, and developing future programming.

I spent my year-long AmeriCorps term as part of the Community Engagement team at Harvesters in Topeka, Kansas. In this role, I initiated individual, group, and corporate engagements such as volunteer events and food drives. Further, I served community members directly during the COVID-19 pandemic at partner agencies and mobile food distributions. I also developed a virtual hunger education curriculum and the Girl Scout Fight Hunger Patch Program. The latter was designed to engage young girls in public service and the fight to end food insecurity.

During the first summer of the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to join the Healthcare for Missouri team in their fight to expand Medicaid. As a field organizer, I coordinated voter contact efforts with numerous local and statewide community organizations to secure healthcare access for 200,000+ Missourians. I generated tactics for volunteer recruitment, retention, and management, and I corresponded with more than 100 local election authorities in order to compile data on more than 3,000 updated polling locations to help shape the campaign's election day strategy. I also facilitated more than 50 phonebanks and volunteer training sessions.

I worked as a Research Assistant to Todd Wronski, compiling information about Kurt Vonnegut's life and works in order to contribute to the creation of Professor Wronski's one-man performance (showcased internationally) about Vonnegut's legacy.

As a Student Project Manager, I researched and developed projects that brought in prominent speakers and academics, and I had the opportunity to interview and introduce speakers at public events. I also created press releases, topical background essays, and event programs and posters using visual processing software such as Photoshop and InDesign.

As a Research Intern, I conducted research on Harry S Truman and Missouri history, transcribed historical documents, uploaded transcriptions on the National Archives Website, and developed a research topic guide for students.

As an Aerial Instructor, I taught aerial silks classes to individuals ages 6 and up. I developed and implemented teaching strategies for young people and adults focused on building strength and technique, while promoting body positivity in addition to physical and mental wellness.
