San Pasqual Foster Youth Academy, New Alternaitves Inc. is a level 9 group home location and school for children in the foster care system. Responsibilities included:- Maintained accurate and detailed records upholding Federal and State regulated standards on documentation, including staff notes, student files on medications, school attendance, health and safety, emergency contact information and incident reports.- Developed unique relationships with each student, consisting of girls ages 13 to 17. - Trained in Trauma-Informed Care and CPR/First Aid.- Dispensed prescribed medication to students- Identified signs of potential emotional or developmental concerns in students, opening lines of communications around concerns and brought them to the house clinicians attention.- Communicated with children in developmentally appropriate way.- Encouraged curiosity, exploration and problem-solving to assist in independent living skills.
