Emma Sanderson Email and Phone Number
Hi everyone,I'm a fourth-year Environmental Engineering student at the University of Guelph with a passion for sustainability and climate resilience. I chose to study in this discipline to use my problem-solving and management skills to make a difference in the fight against climate change. After three years of study, I've taken an interest in emissions management and decarbonization. I completed my last work term with the Region of Waterloo Waste Management Division. Here, I prepared several technical reports for submission to the MECP, developing my professional writing and data collection in topics such as landfill gas capture and groundwater remediation. I took pride in representing the Region by providing public education tours to residents and classes, sharing the advancements made in landfill technology at the appropriate educational level. I'm excited to transfer these skills to a role in the field of engineering consulting, where I hope to continue to develop my analytical skills and resourcefulness. With my final work term fast approaching in Summer 2025, I'd appreciate any advice on entering the energy sector as an Environmental student, and would love to hear of any opportunities you may know of. Thank you!
