As an intellectually curious and aspiring business professional, I bring a creative perspective and acommitment to collaborative growth to any project I undertake. With a strong work ethic, a passion for driving meaningful change through service, and a desire to improve people's lives, I am eager to gain practical, transferrable experience with a human rights, environmental justice, or global organization committed to equality and equity.I am presently an undergraduate at Marymount Manhattan College, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics & Human Rights and International Relations with a minor in Environmental Science. I chose this course of study because I believe that I can help to affect positive, measurable change in the world. I grew up in a coastal area that is now grappling with unprecedented increases in sea level, coastal erosion, and damage to both property and to wildlife. Because of this, the global impact of climate change is especially important to me. As the daughter of a single, widowed mother, I am particularly attuned to the challenges that women and girls face worldwide, in academic, governmental, and professional settings. With the understanding that women’s rights are human rights, I am very interested in how public policy and access to services impact the lives of girls and women globally.I am eager to further my practical experience with an internship with a mission-driven organization.
