As a fourth-year medical student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (VCU), my journey in medicine has been shaped by a commitment to both clinical excellence and innovation in drug development. Inspired by my family’s resilience as immigrants navigating healthcare challenges, I’ve dedicated myself to improving patient outcomes through culturally sensitive, compassionate care.At VCU Massey Cancer Center, I sparked enthusiasm for telomere biology, and I’m now working on pioneering a first-in-class direct telomere-targeting agent in oncology. This research aligns with my passion for addressing the root causes of complex diseases, while my clinical experiences have highlighted the importance of treating patients holistically—addressing both their medical and personal challenges.My diverse background in psychology, procurement, and leadership roles has equipped me with strong problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills. Whether in the lab or at the bedside, I’m committed to driving innovation and delivering patient-centered care.
