About Eranda Aberathna

*The Love of Tea*Born in to a family of tea enthusiasts and growing up among the lush green plantations in the hills this love was inevitable. At a very early age I somehow knew my love for tea is only going to grow. From the plucking of the fresh tea bud, observing the mastery of the nimble fingers running through tea bush after tea bush to the magical transformation taking place in the factory; withering, rolling, fermenting, drying, sifting and colour sorting to the point of just being perfect. It’s an art, and the Ceylon black tea is a manifestation of it, feasting all senses. After my education overseas I am back to my true passion and the story goes on.*Tea and Work*Moving from my families traditional business of manufacturing garden fresh unblended tea (single origin), my dream was to take this beyond borders. To this end I took the lead in establishing the brand ‘Halpé Tea’ my own brand of Garden fresh, Unblended tea (Pure single origin tea). I currently engage in export of value added tea to clients globally taking my passion to all consumers. *Tea and Tourism*Sharing the tea experience with the world is a dream that came to life with our signature property Resort 98 Acres & the secret ella. Through this I have been able to share amazing experience with all who share the same passion as me giving them the complete experience from plucking, manufacturing and finally tasting the product at the source. *Tea and Future*I aspire to be a global advocate for Ceylon Tea and take the story of Ceylon tea to the world.
