• I held responsibility for the delivery of all of the digital programmes that UpRising delivered across the UK. This includes the charity’s employability, leadership and environmental leadership programmes. • Managed stakeholder relationships, including creating opportunities for our corporate volunteers and maintaining relationships with our speakers.• Supported the team of Programme Delivery officers to deliver the charity’s programmes and ensured we created a positive experience for our participants. • Worked closely with the organisation’s Development team to manage the creation of the charity’s new digital employability programme, Stand Out.

• Oversaw UpRising Leadership’s employability programmes across the UK, as well as directly managing programmes in London. • Created and delivered a one month digital pilot of the employability programme in July 2020, including the development of the curriculum and recruitment frameworks. The pilot programme was successful and has now led to the funding for a scaled up digital programme called Stand Out. • Before the pandemic, I delivered employability programmes and worked with over 200 young people. This included the delivery of 160 hours of workshops, with topics ranging from CV writing through to utilising LinkedIn.• Managed relationships with stakeholders at a range of levels, including successfully developing relationships with the likes of Thomson Reuters, Amazon, Bauer Media and The Civil Service. • Organised and hosted alumni events, including speed mentoring evenings, networking events and youth consultations with employers. • Led on UpRising’s research into the issues our participant’s experience in securing employment. As well as coordinating 6 youth consultation events over two years, I consolidated our findings into a 30 page report entitled ‘Recruiting and Retaining Diverse, Young Talent’. • Supported with grant management, including reporting to funders.

• Ensured that necessary logistical arrangements were in place for all assessment events, taking account of value for money and programme quality. • Held responsibility for supporting large groups of volunteers through the UK phases of their ICS volunteer journey, from assessment to the post-placement phase.

• Managed a team of three Assistant Programme Managers who delivered the NCS programme in Newham, as well as all seasonal staff supporting the programme.• I held safeguarding responsibility for all the young people on our various programmes I managed and handled the initial contact around any safeguarding issues.• Held responsibility for the logistics for all of the programmes, including transport and food orders for our residentials.

• I held responsibility within the organisation for the recruitment of volunteer managers for Raleigh’s Expedition programme.• I supported the running and organisation of our Assessment Weekends.

• I was responsible for the delivery of a high quality and locally grounded summer and autumn NCS programme, ensuring quality community projects were set up and planning key logistics for delivery.

• I was responsible for the recruitment of young people onto the National Citizen Service Programme. This involved working closely with schools, delivering presentations and PSHE sessions, as well as supporting young people through the sign-up process.

• Led a group of volunteers on two separate international development projects, one based in Nigeria and one in Tanzania.
