Responsible for creating and implementing QLT’s commercial strategy for oncology. • As member of Oncology In-licensing team, championed the acquisition a 3rd generation receptor inhibitor for multi-drug resistant tumors. • Carried out similar activities on a corporate-wide basis as a member of the M&A Project Team. Completed exhaustive due diligence on acquisition/in-licensing candidates in North America and Europe.• Initial focus of representing QLT’s oncology programs and marketing interests through the various PHOTOFRIN™ alliances with QLT’s eight commercial partners. Instrumental in steering strategic decisions related to QLT’s initial commercialized product, PHOTOFRIN™, including drug and device development, marketing support to partners, new indication assessments, supportive in-licensing opportunities and, ultimately, divestiture of PHOTOFRIN™. • Created several analysis and decision making tools, including StratPlan procedures and templates, in-licensing/acquisition assessments, and financial projection models.

Spearheaded international commercialization of Dermagraft-TC™ in the treatment of severe burns patients. • Systematically collected, analyzed and compiled extensive primary and secondary market research on all European burn centers into detailed, country-specific business plans. Generated internal support by all associated departments for a rapid international launch.• Identified and recruited leading burn and reconstructive surgeons to adopt the technology. • Leveraged existing corporate relationships to expedite market introductions worldwide.• Results: regulatory approval in 8 countries in 6 months; launched in 3 countries in ’97 and European launch in ’98.

Managed all international commercial, manufacturing, clinical and regulatory activities related to clarithromycin (BIAXIN™, KLACID™), Abbott’s then-premier pharmaceutical product.• Grew sales from $60M to over $500M during tenure to become the #3 premium oral antibiotic worldwide. Total antibiotic group sales of >$700M.• Developed and implemented international marketing strategies and tactics in collaboration with 55 country affiliates. Coordination of all global marketing events and activities. • Developed commercialization program for M. avium Complex indication. Launched in 14 countries, expanded the core antibiotic business by 10%.• Launched the pediatric suspension with all 55 affiliates.
