About Emma Addison
I’m a graduate of the occupational therapy program at the University of New Hampshire. I am a compassionate, motivated, and enthusiastic therapist who is excited to commit to a lifelong career of helping people achieve a satisfying and fulfilling life. I knew I always wanted to be part of a helping profession, but I turned specifically to OT because of its unique client-centered and occupation-based perspective. In my mind, OT is the future of therapy because it empowers clients to improve their quality of life through participation in meaningful everyday-functional activities (occupations). When we help clients “do” we not only help them improve their satisfaction, health, and overall well-being but more importantly we help them participate in something that is important to them! People are more than their diagnosis, and I am fortunate enough to be part of a profession that values clients’ choices, beliefs, and goals. I could not be more proud to be part of such an amazing profession, and as a traveling therapist I am always excited to see what my future holds.
