- Preparing for School’s participation in the coming COP17 Climate Change Conference in Durban, South Africa.- Researching on sustainable practices in different areas (energy, water, building, transportation, housing, etc) and categorizing them by climatic regions.- Researched on climate change related matters such as barriers and constraints in Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) policy on afforestation and reforestation, market-based (e.g. carbon trading, cap and trade experiences/proposals in EU, Australia and New Zealand) versus command and control approach to environmental management, effectively of Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and sustainable practices in forestry, energy, waste management, land use, green designs, and resource management.- Researched on what Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) + can learn from CDM afforestation and reforestation policy and mechanism formulations to minimize any institutional red tapes and bureaucracies.- Supported School’s participation in UNFCC COP15 global climate change summit in Copenhagen.- Supported Dr. Tony La Vina’s (Philippines) UNFCC Bali Action Plan’s chairmanship and efforts in REDD + policy and mechanism formulation, adaptation, mitigation and implementation (Measurement, Reporting and Verifications (MRV)). Provided expertise in the area of business analysis, economic analysis and cost modeling development for the following clients:- US Labor Department - researched business best practices, identified requirements and availability of technology, evaluated legal and political ramifications, analyzed budget/schedule and risk/mitigation plans and implemented a Call Center approach for the US State’s unemployment program- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) – implemented process improvement for cost savings and work flow efficiency in financial operations by evaluating multiple cost models used throughout all the departments and integrating them in one consolidated cost model- US Postal Service - evaluated the automated mail sorting system to increase the efficiency of their process flow

Provided expertise in the area of business and economic analysis, cost engineering analysis, acquisition support, operation research and cost modeling development for the following clients:- US Department of Defense (DoD) - conducted a study for DoD Open System Joint Task Force assessing awareness of open system (OS) implementation within all military agencies and developed a baseline measuring the OS implementation against international OS standards industries collaboratively set forth- US Justice Department- performed price realism analysis, risk assessment, market research, cost evaluation, and best value analysis for the Justice Consolidated Office Network cost proposals- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) – developed various independent life cycle cost estimates for different aviation infrastructure (information system, radar, and airport)- US Department of State - developed an automated database system for the use on the MIL STD 499-B (Systems Engineering) document and on various economic documents for the newly independent states of the former USSR - MITRE Corporation – internally, performed benchmarking studies and identified areas for improvement throughout MITRE like managing the study on the benefits of outsourcing vs. internally maintaining MITRE’s computer resources.

Principally worked on FAA’s National Air Space programs performing:- Budget, cost and schedule analysis including utilization of statistical tools to assess risk- Cost/Schedule Control Systems Criteria (C/SCSC) report and analysis and recommended corrective actions to the Configuration Board - Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation and reviews, C/SCSC evaluations, surveillance reviews and support other program control efforts of the FAA - Internally, co-editor of the division’s monthly Total Quality Management (TQM) newsletter

Scheduled activities optimizing space and material availability at the same time prioritized multiple work orders within the facility, processed and updated the company’s inventory and production control databases and conducted multiple cost savings studies on man-hour utilization and systematic production scheduling.
