My working career began in Boston right after high school and covers many years of experience in office management and administrative support. I first joined Gustavo Preston as a part-time receptionist in February of 2002. It was my first job after 12 years as a "stay-at-home" mom with three children and a lot had changed in the way daily business was conducted during that time. But my ability to learn and eagerness to grow has provided me a multitude of opportunities since.After two years working part time answering phones and doing data entry David Pellegrini began to get me involved in project management and before I knew it I was working full-time learning more about the engineering aspects of the business for the commercial plumbing and fire protection markets.David also noticed the creative side of me. I was elected the honor to serve as Champion of Marketing for our Strategic Planning Committee which allowed me to work closely with him and others developing new literature and spear heading our latest project with the launch of our new website. As our company continues to grow, the ever changing means of communication evolve and competition slowly increases it has become apparent that Gustavo Preston needed to have a stronger advertising presence within the industry and thus our Marketing Department was created. As the marketing director, I work to maintain a strong media presence through social networks, exhibiting at local trade shows, writing newsletters, and keeping our website up to date with fresh, new, interesting content.In October 2016 I was promoted to the position of Associate Sales Application Engineer. In this role I assist the SAEs with the review of engineered documents and pricing of product based on what is specified, creating submittals and confirming the accuracy of factory order acknowledgements.
