Worked in a quality assurance lab testing food samples for vitamin content via HPLC and LCMS methods. Trained in preparation of samples, instrument operation, and data analysis.

Assisted students and professors with various laboratory needs. Tasks included cleaning glassware, preparing materials for labs, and distributing chemicals as necessary.

Worked on synthesis of tetrasubstituted alkenes necessary for the formation of a stable organic radical. Products were characterized using proton and phosphorus NMR. Presented my research at the ACS Spring 2022 conference in San Diego, CA.

Worked on synthesis of potential anti-parasitic heterocyclic compounds. Products were synthesized with amino acid derivatives, purified using column chromatography, and characterized via TLC, IR, and NMR.

Worked virtually with a team of undergraduate students to design a payload for a high-altitude balloon. As a team, we devised multiple experiments that could potentially fly during the 2024 total solar eclipse and designed a structure that could be fabricated by a future team. I was awarded a stipend funded by a NASA space grant to work on this project.

Worked with the Atmospheric Research Trailer for Environmental Monitoring and Interactive Science (ARTEMIS). Regularly visited the trailer site in various weather conditions. Our work included downloading air quality data, collecting filter samples, calibrating monitors, setting up data collection, and troubleshooting various technical issues.
