I love career and professional development and working with university students. It took a few jobs in different fields to realize that career and professional development was where I wanted to be. I've had the privilege of working for two of the best STEM Institutes in America. In both my current role as a Assistant Director at RPI and my previous role at MIT, I have worked with students in engineering and technology fields, in various points of their career journey. From first-year students to postdocs, I support students from all stages—whether that be creating their first resume to perfecting their CV, to in-depth career counseling and job search support. My work with students is very person-centered, as each one has different needs and works at a different pace. In Fall 2023, I launched the Peer Career Advising (PCA) program at RPI that I've managed from inception to launch. This program allows current students to assist their peers with career development topics, such as resume and cover letter reviews, internship and job search advice, LinkedIn reviews, and more. This alone demonstrates how passionate I am about supporting people with their career development—so much so I wanted to give other students the chance to experience it as well.I'm also deeply interested in organizational behavior and leadership and how we interact with each other from different communication and working styles in business settings. I am currently working toward my graduate certificate in Organizational Behavior at Harvard Graduate Extension School. If you are reading this and find yourself wondering more about working in career services, Higher Ed, or anything related to my background, please feel free to reach out and connect with me. I am also a Certified Career Counselor and member of the National Career Development Association and welcome questions regarding that as well!
