As Country Manager, managed entire business of Tophim (BD) Ltd., a Hong Kong based garments buying house turned into trading house. Supervision of activities of a garments buying house, place orders, monitoring production and shipment, compliance and timely communication with the main buyer(s). Plan to import of evaporative cooling machine, heavy duty exhaust fans that suitable for industries, machine tools, equipment etc. Banking, custom clearance of goods worth 8 crores annually. Recruit, trains, supervise workforce of different discipline; purchase and commercial, marketing, admin etc.

Responsible for Procurement of Machineries, tools, spare parts and raw materials for Blade Manufacturing Industry, Dyeing & chemicals for Printing Industry that were in operation under the Group. Formulate purchase policy, simplify procurement method, improve communication, institution standard, control vital to the Group's purchase requirements, purchase goods worth to 24 correspond annually.

Responsible for monitoring, distribution and stock control of relief food earmarked to the war torn Liberian people.Monitoring and reporting to the head quarter at Rome, Italy for warehousing and stock control for over 60,000 metric tones food annually.

Warehousing operation for machineries and spare parts for a fleet of 740 different machineries include but not limited to cleaning projects' heavy equipments, transport vehicle, earth moving machineries, cleaning materials, food materials, medicine etc. of a project where there were 4,000 plus workforce engaged.

Formulation of policy to import spare parts for Yamaha Motor Cycle, Daihatsu, Audi, Lada, Volkswagon Motor Vehicles and spare parts for those vehicles. Import arrangement, marketing and sales of those spare parts throughout the country through dealers. Inventory management and stock control was a major role for the position thus help eliminating slow moving parts, increase sales of fast moving parts etc.

The project was construction of 10 Berths project at UmQasr, Basrah, Iraq. My role was to coordinate between the main contractor - State Constructional Contracting Co.(SCCIP) and the sub- contractors - GEC, Machinen Export, Sumitomo Construction and few others in respect of receiving supplies and recommendation payment.

I was responsible for 3 warehouses located near the project area of which one is specifically for spare parts for the vehicles, machineries that were operating in the project. The other warehouse is for materials need for the construction of a huge bridge project on the River Tigris, Baghdad. The third one is for the household materials for the employees both form in-house and abroad (nearly 700 plus) who were engaged for the project. As a Manager, I had to manage the inventory, stock control so that the materials and spare parts' stock level do not go beyond its maximum level and also do not come under the safety stock/minimum level. Calculation of Economic Order quantity (EOQ) was also under my responsibility thus helped the project not become overburdened for huge quantity unnecessary stock piling nor face shortage of materials.

It was a project of 1300 ft long Pre-Stressed RCC bridge over the Sitalakhya River on Dhaka-Chittagong highway near Dhaka. The project had warehouse for spare parts for construction machineries, transport vehicles and construction materials like; rebar, cement, sand and many hardware materials etc. Beside the inventory management and stock control of those materials I was also given responsibility for purchasing of most of those material from local market. My responsibilities were also include supervision of workshop for repairing and maintenance of machines and so I had to work closely with maintenance Engineers and Foremen.
