Advising academic, private and public entities on the ethics and laws of healthcare. During the COVID-19 pandemic, advised the office of the the PM and the Ministry of Public Health of Lebanon on the ethical framework and guidelines for rationing healthcare resources in a crisis and drafted the policy proposal in this regard.See below in Arabic.

The Lebanese Society for the Study of Pain (LSSP) is the local chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). The purposes for which the Society is organized are exclusively educational, scientific, and charitable in nature and include the following:A. To foster and encourage research of pain mechanisms and pain syndromes and to help improve the management of patients with acute and chronic pain by bringing together basic scientists, physicians, and other health professionals of various disciplines and backgrounds who have an interest in pain research and management.B. To promote education and training in the field of pain. C. To promote and facilitate the dissemination of new information in the field of pain.D. To inform the general public of the results and implications of current research in the area.E. To advise governmental and non-governmental agencies in standards relating to the use of drugs, appliances, and other procedures in the therapy of pain.

The mission of AGA PAC is to give medical practitioners in the field of gastroenterology a greater presence on Capitol Hill and a more effective voice in policy discussions that affect the science and practice of gastroenterology. In these uncertain times, decisions made by lawmakers in Washington could change how we care for patients for years to come. The AGA-PAC works to advance policies that support clinicians and researchers and protect our patients and to augment the AGA’s government affairs work and advocacy efforts.

The mission is to further the AGA Strategic Plan by advising the governing board, committees and GIs who completed fellowship training within the past five years. The specific charge of the committee is to: Work with the AGA Institute Education and Training Committee to develop education programs, products and services that meet the unique educational needs of individuals during and directly after their fellowship training.

The Translational Research Institute (formerly the Center for Clinical and Translational Research) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is an institution-wide center (institute) funded by a $20 Million CTSA grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the USA and a total budget exceeding $8 million per year. As Director of Governance, I oversaw key organizational and functional activities of the institute including governance, strategic planning, budget and evaluation of key functions.
