Contract Forensic Social Worker
Current- Mental health team member of criminal defense teams
- Visit regularly with both in and out of custody clients
- Conduct client and witness interviews in a way that is strengths-based and trauma-informed to gather a deeper understanding of the client's social history and past traumas for the purpose of mitigation
- Write biopsychosocial history reports, identifying any trauma, mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance abuse issues
- Conduct research related to the client's life experiences, including topics such as adoption and foster care, brain development, abuse, domestic violence, TBI, mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, and PTSD
- Review legal, medical, psychological, educational, and institutional records to gain a holistic view of the client
